Agreement on operational activities by the European Border and Coast Guard Agency in Albania
Decision
The European Parliament adopted the Agreement between the European Union and the Republic of Albania on operational activities carried out by the European Border and Coast Guard Agency in the Republic of Albania (document reference TA-9-2024-0169). The adoption took place in Strasbourg on 14 March 2024 as one of the texts adopted that day.
What Changes
The adopted agreement provides for operational activities to be carried out by the European Border and Coast Guard Agency in the Republic of Albania and establishes the legal instrument under which those activities will take place between the Union and Albania. The text therefore defines the terms for operational intervention by the Agency in Albanian territory as set out in the agreement title.
