Type-approval of motor vehicles and engines with respect to their emissions and battery durability (Euro 7)
Decision
The European Parliament adopted texts P9_TA(2023)0394 and P9_TA(2024)0153 on the Euro 7 type-approval file (procedure 2022/0365(COD), document A9-0298/2023), with plenary debate held on 8 November 2023 and votes recorded in the minutes for 9 November 2023 (item 5.19) and 13 March 2024 (item 16.1). The report was introduced by rapporteur Alexandr Vondra on behalf of the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety.
What Changes
The adopted report concerns a proposal for a regulation on type-approval of motor vehicles and engines and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles with respect to their emissions and battery durability. The proposal also provides for the repeal of Regulations (EC) No 715/2007 and (EC) No 595/2009.
