Decision
The European Parliament gave its consent to the conclusion of the agreement amending the EU‑Argentina exchange of letters and instructed its President to forward its position to the Council, the Commission and the governments and parliaments of the Member States and of the Argentine Republic. The committee recommendation was A9-0083/2024, the plenary adopted the text P9_TA(2024)0211, and the responsible committee adopted the report on 7.3.2024 with a final vote of 33 in favour, 3 against and 1 abstention.
What Changes

The relevant Regulation (EU) 2019/216 and Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/1988 will be amended to reflect these volumes.
Who Is Affected
The amendment directly affects the European Union and the Argentine Republic, traders and operators under the agricultural, fish and industrial TRQs in EU Schedule CLXXV and the Commission as the entity empowered to amend apportionment shares.
