Parliament adopts repeal to discontinue European ODR Platform

Decision

The European Parliament adopted its position at first reading taking over the Commission proposal COM(2023)0647 as set out in report A9‑0058/2024 and in the text P9_TA(2024)0140. The committee responsible adopted the report by roll‑call vote with 40 votes in favour and the committee listed the date of adoption as 22.2.2024 and the proposal was tabled to Parliament on 26.2.2024.

What Changes

The adopted position repeals Regulation (EU) No 524/2013 and amends Regulations (EU) 2017/2394 and (EU) 2018/1724 with regard to the discontinuation of the European ODR Platform. The resolution instructs the President to forward Parliament's position to the Council, the Commission and the national parliaments and asks the Commission to refer the matter back to Parliament if it substantially amends the proposal.
