Mobilisation of EGF for technical assistance (EGF/2025/000 TA 2025)
Decision
The European Parliament adopted the motion for a resolution P10_TA(2025)0153 on the report on the proposal for a decision to mobilise the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund for Displaced Workers (EGF/2025/000 TA 2025) as set out in COM(2025)0680 and the committee file C10-0103/2025 (procedure 2025/0135(BUD)). The text was presented by the Committee on Budgets, rapporteur Jean-Marc Germain (A10-0115/2025), and was adopted in plenary by a majority of the votes cast during the sitting in Strasbourg on 9 July 2025, after the rapporteur made a statement under Rule 165(4).
What Changes
The adopted motion for a resolution converts the committee report into Parliament’s formal position on the Commission proposal to mobilise the EGF for technical assistance, specifically addressing EGF/2025/000 TA 2025 as an initiative of the Commission. The parliamentary text P10_TA(2025)0153 records Parliament’s stance on that mobilisation and provides the institutional response to the Commission’s proposal COM(2025)0680.
Who Is Affected
The measures concern displaced workers eligible for support under the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund and involve the Commission as initiator of the technical-assistance mobilisation, with the Committee on Budgets and its rapporteur centrally engaged.
