Decision

The European Parliament adopted its position at first reading on 13 March 2024 on the Commission proposal for a Euro 7 regulation, recorded as P9_TA(2024)0153 and linked to A9-0298/2023 and procedure 2022/0365(COD). The position replaces the amendments adopted on 9 November 2023 and followed a provisional agreement approved by the responsible committee, with the Council representative undertaking by letter of 8 January 2024 to approve Parliament’s position.

Where an agreement was reached between Parliament and Council, Parliament’s position corresponds to the final legislative act, recorded as Regulation (EU) 2024/1257, and the text was to be forwarded to the Council, the Commission and national parliaments.
