EU-Norway agreement on supplementary rules for Integrated Border Management Fund
Decision
In plenary on 10 April 2024 Parliament approved the draft Council decision and gave its consent to conclude the agreement, recorded as document A9-0143/2024 and adopted as P9_TA(2024)0214 by a majority of the votes cast. The recommendation to consent came from the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs with rapporteur Charlie Weimers.
What Changes
Parliament’s approval authorises the Union to conclude an agreement with the Kingdom of Norway containing supplementary rules in relation to the Instrument for Financial Support for Border Management and Visa Policy. The rules relate to that instrument as part of the Integrated Border Management Fund for the period 2021 to 2027.
