EP adopts amendments on flag State compliance
Decision
The European Parliament adopted the provisional agreement on the proposal to amend Directive 2009/21/EC, with the adopted text recorded as P9_TA(2024)0203 and the voting entry shown as PV 10/04/2024 - 21.28. The outcome was reached by a majority of the votes cast and Parliament’s first reading was closed.
What Changes
The adopted measure implements amendments to Directive 2009/21/EC as set out in the proposal COM(2023)0272 and reflected in the committee report A9-0418/2023 prepared by the Committee on Transport and Tourism. The text constitutes Parliament’s agreed position at first reading.
