How We Track Changes
AtlanticTrade monitors official sources to identify trade policy developments as they are published:
- EU Official Journal: Daily monitoring of regulations, directives, and implementing acts
- National Gazettes: Official publications from Mercosur member states and key trading partners
- WTO Documents: Notifications, dispute settlements, and trade policy reviews
- Customs Authorities: Tariff schedule updates and enforcement notices
How We Verify Information
All posts are based on primary official sources. We:
- Link directly to official documents (gazettes, regulations, notices)
- Cite specific regulation numbers, document IDs, and publication dates
- Note when information is preliminary or subject to change
- Update posts when new official information becomes available
Content Types
We publish four types of content:
- News Update
- Short, timely reports on newly published measures and policy changes
- Explainer
- Evergreen guides to trade policy concepts, procedures, and frameworks
- Document Brief
- Summaries of complex official publications with key takeaways
- Case Watch
- Tracking of trade defense investigations, disputes, and enforcement actions
Confidence Levels
When appropriate, we indicate confidence in information:
- Official: Published in official gazette or from authoritative source
- Preliminary: Based on draft documents or unofficial translations
- Reported: Information from credible news sources pending official confirmation
Updates and Corrections
We update posts when:
- Measures are amended or extended
- Additional official information becomes available
- Errors are identified and corrected
All significant updates are noted at the top of posts with dates. If you identify an error, please contact us.
