Decision

The European Parliament adopted a series of texts at its Strasbourg sitting on Wednesday, 8 October 2025, listed under "Texts adopted" and including amendments to CAP regulations; a text on strengthening the position of farmers in the food supply chain; the EC‑Côte d’Ivoire Fisheries Partnership Agreement protocol for 2025–2029; withdrawal from the International Rubber Study Group (IRSG); guidelines for Member States' employment policies; a draft amending budget; two mobilisations of the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund; an EU political strategy on Latin America; and a measure on genetically modified maize DP51291.

What Changes

The adopted items amend CAP regulations addressing the conditionality system, types of intervention in the form of direct payments, interventions in certain sectors and rural development, annual performance reporting, data and interoperability governance, suspensions of payments and controls; they establish a fisheries protocol for 2025–2029; provide for the EU’s withdrawal from the IRSG; update employment policy guidance; adjust revenue and expenditure in a draft amending budget; and mobilise EGF support in two specified cases.
