Mobilisation of the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund for TNT Belgium
Decision
The European Parliament adopted a resolution of 14 March 2023 (P9_TA(2023)0062) agreeing with the Commission that the conditions for mobilisation of the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund are met and approving the annexed decision on application EGF/2022/002 BE/TNT.
What Changes
Belgium is entitled to a financial contribution of EUR 1,956,397, representing 85% of total eligible costs of EUR 2,301,644, to fund personalised services and preparatory, management and reporting activities. The measure covers personalised services started on 1 April 2022 with the period of eligibility running until 24 months after the financing decision enters into force, and administrative expenditure eligible from 19 January 2021 until 31 months after that date.
Who Is Affected
The decision concerns 548 workers made redundant in TNT Belgium in the warehousing and support activities for transportation sector in the province of Liège, with 559 beneficiaries in total.
