EU gives consent to agreement with Liechtenstein on border-management fund rules

Decision

The European Parliament adopted a legislative resolution of 10 April 2024 (P9_TA(2024)0217) giving its consent to the conclusion of the Agreement between the European Union and the Principality of Liechtenstein; it instructs its President to forward its position to the Council, the Commission and the governments and parliaments of the Member States and of the Principality of Liechtenstein.

What Changes

The Agreement establishes supplementary rules in relation to the Instrument for Financial Support for Border Management and Visa Policy as part of the Integrated Border Management Fund for the period 2021 to 2027, corresponding to draft documents 13935/2023 and 13936/2023 submitted under procedure 2023/0334(NLE). The Parliament gave the consent required for the Union to conclude that Agreement.
