EU consents to Implementing Protocol for Greenland-Denmark fisheries 2025–2030
Decision
In plenary in Strasbourg on 8 July 2025 Parliament approved the draft Council decision [P10_TA(2025)0142] and consented to the conclusion of the Implementing Protocol (2025-2030). The recommendation was tabled as A10-0099/2025 under procedure 2024/0263(NLE), was prepared by the Committee on Fisheries with rapporteur Emma Fourreau, and carried by a majority of the votes cast.
What Changes
Parliament’s consent authorises the conclusion, on behalf of the European Union, of the Implementing Protocol (2025-2030) to the Sustainable Fisheries Partnership Agreement between the EU and the Governments of Greenland and Denmark. The consent implements the Committee’s recommendation linked to file references 14652/2024 and C10-0227/2024.
