EC–Côte d’Ivoire Fisheries Protocol 2025–2029: Parliament gives consent
Decision
The European Parliament adopted a legislative resolution of 8 October 2025 (P10_TA(2025)0215) giving its consent to the conclusion of the draft Protocol on the implementation of the Fisheries Partnership Agreement between the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire and the European Community (2025–2029). The resolution refers to the draft Council decision (07374/2025), the draft Protocol (07042/2025) and the Council’s request for consent (C10‑0114/2025).
What Changes
Parliament’s consent allows the Union to conclude the protocol implementing the Fisheries Partnership Agreement for the period 2025–2029 and advances the procedure for the Union to enter into that arrangement. Parliament also instructed its President to forward its position to the Council, the Commission and the governments and parliaments concerned.

The decision directly concerns the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire and the European Community and is communicated to the Council, the Commission and the governments and parliaments of the Member States and of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire.
