INTA draft agenda, Committee on International Trade (18-19 March 2026)
EP Position
The INTA committee will consider and seek consent on draft recommendations to terminate the Voluntary Partnership Agreement between the EU and Liberia and to approve an amendment to Article 36 of the International Agreement on Olive Oil and Table Olives. It will also consider and adopt draft recommendations and reports on amendments to the International Cocoa Agreement and on customs duty measures and related trade measures.
Key Trade Point
The committee plans to adopt draft reports and to vote on the decision to enter into interinstitutional negotiations on Commission proposals to adjust customs duties and to open tariff quotas for certain goods originating in the United States. The agenda also includes consideration of the non-application of customs duties on certain imports, monitoring of EU-US trade relations and exchanges on WTO dispute settlement cases.
