EU imposes anti-dumping duties on Chinese high-pressure cylinders
Key development
The Commission has imposed definitive anti-dumping duties on imports of high-pressure seamless steel cylinders from the People’s Republic of China, ranging from 57.7% to 90.3%.
Context
An investigation identified unfair trade practices in imports of such cylinders, covering high-pressure seamless steel cylinders for compressed or liquified gas of all diameters and volume capacities and examining the period from 1 July 2023 to 30 June 2024.
Details
The EU market for these cylinders totalled some 6.4 million units in the investigated period, of which 4.5 million units were imported from China, and EU producers for this product are located in Austria, the Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany and Italy.
